I get so many emails like one:
Hi. Would you happen to be needing the services of a graphic designer? I freelance and I'm looking for a few side gigs. I can send a resume and samples.
Thanks
(name or initials)
I don’t even know if thisperson wants to design t-shirts or web graphics. Why would I waste my time pursuing something here?
Here’s another one that I get quite a bit:
Hey Kevin!
I am reaching out to you, because I was recently looking to purchase some new dead pool t-shirts. I was recommended to visit your site by a close friend of mine, who actually purchases a good amount of his shirts for your page! I love the selection, and variety! Great stuff!
It then goes on to tell me about why I should use their company.
So I gotta call bullshit on this one. Does anyone really ask around on where to buy shirts like we sell? That’s not been my experience. People ask about good dentists, doctors, and contractors. But Deadpool shirts?
I’ll give this person credit though, because I get many people that tell me they’ve been a customer for years and then I search via their name and email address and can’t find any evidence of that. Do they think I’m not going to check on this if I decide I want more information about what they are spamming me about?
Do better business salespeople. This is why salespeople have a bad rep.
