Nintendo Game and Watch
Nintendo is an amazing company in that they have figured out a way to sell the same games for 40 years. Sometimes they update the games a bit for new hardware that you already own, such as the Nintendo Wii and DS versions of the New Super Mario Bros game.
But the Game and Watch that plays Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 2 is maybe the most impressive thing I’ve seen them do. For $50 you buy a nearly 40 year old game you almost certainly already own in at least one other format. The hardware is not convenient despite being portable in a world where you carry a supercomputer in your pocket everywhere you go.
Despite all of this the game already seems to be sold out everywhere. The lesson I’m taking away from this is to sell it to them once, wait a bit, and sell it to them again in different packaging.
