Hustler: You see opportunities and jump on them. You know it may not last forever (thinking masks during Covid-19 or offering fidget spinners at your shop when people are having a hard time finding them) but there is money to be made if you are fast so you do it.
Brand: You see opportunities only through the lense of your brand and aren’t going to distract yourself with opportunities that don’t align with your brand.
There is nothing wrong with either style, and each business owner has a bit of both. I know that I have a brand mindset, but I hope that the assets I’m building to support my brand will eventually be usable to allow some hustling type opportunities.
